There is no official announcement of a PC version. Here is what series history suggests and why buying hardware now is a bad idea.

GTA 6 is announced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version does not appear in any official material.

What series history says

GTA 5 launched on the previous console generation in September 2013 and reached PC in April 2015. Red Dead Redemption 2 arrived on PC roughly a year after its console release. In other words, the gap is the norm for Rockstar, not the exception.

Why not to upgrade now

  • System requirements have not been announced, and every "leaked" spec list is invented.
  • Hardware bought a year before release will be cheaper by launch.
  • With no announcement date for the PC version, there is nothing concrete to budget for.

If you are building a PC anyway, plan around general trends rather than one game. The moment Rockstar publishes requirements we will add a breakdown with recommended configurations — see platforms and PC.
