Characters it introduced
Beyond Lucia and Jason, the trailer put six named figures on screen, each anchored to his or her own corner of the state:

The geography it covered
The footage moved through every major zone of Leonida in a way trailer 1 did not: the Vice City waterfront and towers, swamps crossed by airboat, islands with marinas, an industrial port and rural backcountry.
The takeaway is that Leonida is not one city with suburbs attached. It is a state with genuinely different biomes, which historically means longer travel, more vehicle types and more distinct mission design. The region layout is on the map page.
Technical details worth noticing
- Crowd and traffic density is far above GTA 5's, on beaches and in traffic alike.
- Water and weather get visible attention — reflections, spray, storm light.
- Police use drones. A small detail with real consequences: aerial tracking changes what "break line of sight and wait" means as an escape tactic. What that implies for play is in the wanted level guide.
Rockstar says the footage was captured on PS5, so this is the engine on target hardware rather than a pre-rendered cinematic. It is still cut for effect. Frame rate, interface and moment-to-moment control cannot be judged from it.
What the trailer pointedly did not show
- No online mode. Not a frame, not a mention — see what is known about online.
- No PC version. The end card lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only.
- No interface or HUD in any meaningful form, which is normal at this stage.
- The date on the end card has since changed. Trailer 2 carried 26 May 2026; the release is now 19 November 2026.
