Early money in GTA always comes from the same place: small jobs that need no investment. The methods below have worked across the whole series and will almost certainly work in Leonida.
The first few hours
- Small robberies
Roadside stores and gas stations: minimal risk, instant cash and one or two stars if you leave straight away.
- Vehicle side jobs
Deliveries, car transport and courier work — steady income with no wanted level. GTA 5 opened these within the first hours.
- Selling what you find
Found cars can be sold on. Look in wealthy districts: rare models pay noticeably better.
- Story heists
The main source of real money. Do not spend everything before the first big job — preparation usually costs.
Do not buy expensive weapons or tuning before the opening story missions. Some of that gear is handed to you for free.
Mid game: businesses and property
Once you have a cushion, move from one-off jobs to assets:
| Asset type | Upside | Downside |
|---|---|---|
| Rental property | Passive income, zero risk | Slow payback |
| Production business | High margin | Needs defending and managing |
| Garage and car flipping | Fast turnover | Costs time to find stock |
What to avoid
- Casinos and gambling. The maths is against you, and save-scumming before a bet is a way to spend an evening, not to earn.
- Buying everything. Expensive cars in GTA barely pay for themselves until you own assets that generate income.
- "Double your money" schemes from video guides. Before release, every one of them is invented.
After launch
The moment the game is out we will update this guide with real numbers: payouts per side job, which businesses break even fastest and where the most valuable cars spawn. Follow the money and business category.
